sānthreeThree horizontal strokes, drawn top to bottom. That top-to-bottom order IS rule 1 — you don't recall the rule, your hand does.

rénpersonLeft-falling stroke first, then right-falling. Writing it in that order IS rule 2, left before right.

kǒumouthDraw the left side and top, then the inside is empty, then seal the bottom last. A box is closed at the end — that's rule 4.
