Is there a GraphChinese app? Download and phone use
There is no GraphChinese app to download. It is a web app: open graphchinese.com in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer, log in, and your progress follows you between devices.
Use it like an app on a phone
On iPhone, open the site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, then Add to Home screen. The icon opens the study room directly.
What needs a connection
Everything. Lessons, flashcard reviews, readings and audio load from the site, so it does not work offline.
Typing Chinese on your device
Most exercises are taps and choices. The few that ask you to type use your device's own Chinese keyboard. See iPhone, Android, Windows or Mac, or all of them.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a GraphChinese app to download?
No. GraphChinese is a web app. You open graphchinese.com in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer, log in, and your progress is the same everywhere.
Is GraphChinese on the App Store or Google Play?
Not at the moment. There is nothing to install and no store listing to look for, so be wary of any app that uses the name.
How do I put GraphChinese on my phone home screen?
Open graphchinese.com in your phone browser, then use the browser menu: Share then Add to Home Screen on iPhone Safari, or the three-dot menu then Add to Home screen on Android Chrome. It opens like an app from then on.
Does GraphChinese work offline?
No. Lessons, reviews and audio load from the site, so you need a connection.
Do I need a Chinese keyboard?
Only for the typing exercises, and you can skip those. Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android all ship a Chinese input method; the guides on this site show where.
