也许/恐怕/大概: hedging expressions
也许 (perhaps), 恐怕 (I am afraid that) and 大概 (probably) are adverbs that hedge a statement by showing the speaker is not certain. They go before the verb or at the start of the clause, and each carries a slightly different feeling.

恐怕 (kǒng pà)
I am afraid; a guess with a worry that the result is bad.
Structure: 恐怕 + (bad) result

大概 (dà gài)
Probably or roughly; an estimate of likelihood or amount.
Structure: 大概 + number / verb phrase

What is the difference between 也许, 恐怕 and 大概?
也许 is a neutral 'maybe'. 恐怕 adds a worry about a bad result. 大概 is an estimate, either of a number or of how likely something is.
Where do these words go in the sentence?
