Direction Words as Localizers
In Chinese, a direction word (方位词) is placed after a place noun to form a location phrase.
Structure: Place noun + 方位词 → location
Common localizers:

Used with 在 to state location:
- 书在桌子上。= The book is on the table.
- 猫在椅子下。= The cat is under the chair.
- 老师在教室里。= The teacher is inside the classroom.
